세계의 추상 : 꿈

1. 전 세계의 화면을 모으다. 
나라마다 바다의 냄새가 다른 것처럼 사람들은 모두 다른 것을 보고 느끼며 살아갑니다. 그들은 또 어떤 것을 발견하고 화면 위에 올려 놓았을까요. 우리는 같은 지구에 살고있지만 모두 다른 지역에서 다른 생각을 하며 살아갑니다. 미국사람은 미국을 보고 한국사람은 한국을 보는 것처럼, 살아있는 주변의 풍경이 다르기 때문에 분명하게 그들이 채우는 화면의 무게가 다릅니다. 그리하여 같은 단어이지만 지역마다 모두 다르게 표현되는 것 입니다. 특히 눈에 보이는 지형지물이 아니라 일정한 형상이 없는  단어는 얼마나 다르게 표현될까요. 아주 멀리, '지구 반대편에 있는 사람은 같은 개념을 어떻게 표현할까?' 라는 궁금증에서 우리는 상상하지 못한 전혀 새로운 발견을 하게 될 것입니다. 전 세계에서 모인 수 많은 화면에서 당신이 영감을 얻기를 바랍니다. 

2. 새로운 발견의 필요성 
우리는 새로운 생각을 하면 성장합니다. 아주 옛날 우리는 물, 불, 나무, 바람 4원소만 존재한다고 믿었습니다. 누군가 4원소 뿐만이 아닌 5번째 또 다른 무엇인가 있을 것이라는 생각이 우리를 탐구하게 했고 또 다른 것들을 하나씩 연구하며 아주 작은 것을 하나 씩 더 발견해 나가며 현재까지 발전해 왔습니다. 옛날의 그들이 세상에 대하여 궁금해 하지않고 그대로 받아들였으면 아무일도 일어나지 않고 우리는 좁은 세상을 보며 살았을 테지만 물, 불, 나무, 바람 4원소 뿐만 아니라 다른 것이 존재하지 않을 까 궁금해 하고 그것을 증명해보려고 한 것이 시발점이 되어 과학은 기하 급수적으로 발전하였습니다. 새로운 것, 보이지않는 것을 보이게 하려는 노력들이 새로운이야기를 만든 것입니다. 우리는 각자의 위치에서 각자의 다섯번 째 원소를 찾아나가고 있습니다. 과학이라는 분야 뿐만 아니라 예술에서도  단편적이라고 생각할 수 있는 화폭 안에서 우리는 무수한 5원소들을 발견해 나가고 있습니다. 

1. Gather screens from all over the world. 
Just as different countries smell different oceans, people all see and feel different things. What else did they find and put on the screen? We live on the same planet, but we all live in different regions with different ideas. Just as Americans see the U.S. and Koreans see Korea, the screen weight they fill is clearly different because the scenery around them is different. So it's the same word, but it's expressed differently in different regions. In particular, how different are words that do not have a certain shape, not a visible landmark. Very far away, with the question of how do people on the other side of the globe express the same concept, we're going to make a whole new discovery that we've never imagined. I hope you get inspiration from countless screens from all over the world. 

2. Necessity of new discoveries 
We grow when we think of new ideas. A long time ago, we believed that only four elements of water, fire, trees, and wind existed. The idea that there's something else that's going to be a fifth one, not just a fourth element, has led us to explore, and we've been working on other things one by one, and we've developed to this day, discovering something very small, one by one. If they hadn't wondered about the world in the past and accepted it as it was, nothing would have happened and we would have lived in a narrow world, but we wondered if not only water, fire, wood, wind, four elements, but something else would exist, so science developed exponentially. Trying to show something new, something invisible, created a new story. We're looking for our fifth element in each location. Within the canvas, which can be considered fragmentary not only in the field of science but also in the art, we're discovering a myriad of five elements.
